NSC Technologies, LLC is Hiring a Safety Manager Near Chesapeake, VA

Consolidated Marine Systems, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Safety/QA/NDT Manager. Strong attention to detail, a dependable work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn and multitask are essential to this position. This position reports to the General Manager and supports the Quality Manager.

QAI performs the following tasks:

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and safety procedures

•Develop and implement safety gram procedure

•Accomplish work in process and final completion inspections.

•Manage the Test and Inspection Plan per Customer requirements and ensures that all aspects of the task Test and Inspections Plan (T&I Plan) are carried out and documented.

•Accomplish jobsite audits and surveillance for compliance.

•Assist QA Manager with initial qualification and maintenance of welder certifications.

•Prepares presentation materials, teaching aids, handouts, etc. and conducts proactive and reactive training with workforce.

•Documents inspection attributes correctly on Quality Assurance forms.

•Analyzes documents, drawing, customer requirements and quality procedures to ensure the Company meets the requirements and standards of the customer.

•Works with customer QA/Safety representatives to coordinate inspection and acceptance activities.

•Maintain OQE records retention.

Knowledge and Ability:

•VT and PT qualified in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A.

•Knowledge of shipboard systems and components.

•5-7 years relative work experience.

•Ability to read and interrupt complex specification and understand relationship of components.

•Experience and knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items, MIL-STD-2035, MIL-STD-1689, MIL-STD-22D, NSTP-278, NSTP-248 and NSTP-271.
